I’m going to admit straight off the bat that I am a sucker for a good simulator game. There is just something satisfying about spending a few hours setting up a system, having it run sweet and overcoming the challenges of resources versus demand. Not every game in the genre gets it right but the little I have seen of Shop Store Simulator 2037 is certainly promising.
Shopping Store Simulator is set in the city of Cranelock. A city that is already dominated by a delivery/warehouse service by the name of QuickBox. But that little fact hasn’t stopped you opening up Rocket Post! Luckily the year is 2037 and robot assistants exists to make your attempt to disrupt the market that little bit easier and a lot more autonomous.

Before I go any further with this preview I need to point out the demo is short. Incredibly short! You set up your shelves, get some stock delivered and serve customers. You then take the money earned and reinvest it into warehouse upgrades such as more shelves, new licences that allow new products and yes…robots!
Now in the demo you are only able to unlock two robots. One that serves customers and one that stocks shelves. Now, I have no idea if there are different types of robots or not as the press release for 2037 doesn’t give too much away:
Keep Rocket Post running smoothly by purchasing robots to handle key tasks, while also managing the budget, and finding opportunities to expand. Help maintain the robotic staff, as they sometimes need repairs, or can slip on spills in the store. Treat them well, purchase supplies as necessary and enjoy the satisfaction of Rocket Post becoming both a figurative and literal well-oiled machine.
As Rocket Post expands, Cranelock’s VIPs will take notice of its success, and want to do business. Let the robots hold down the fort, while handling deliveries via van, drone, and other methods to try and expand to become Cranelock’s biggest and best shipping store, but only at the pace you want to advance at.

One thing that struck me from the demo is that your time isn’t always spent in the shop. Once I had my robot serving customers I would stock up the warehouse then head out on deliveries to VIP customers. There were some fun things to see in the town around your store. Such as a broken down QuicBox robot on the pavement. I promptly ran back to my shop, grabbed a repair kit and returned to the robot to try help the poor guy out. I definitely wasn’t trying to steal it. nope, not me, I wouldn’t do that *whistles*
Another thing I noticed was the map in the office. There seems to be a fair few territories to expand into. I have no idea if these will work as levels or if you can bounce between each location at will once you have unlocked them. I am however assuming that each territory will come with its own warehouse to be built from scratch.

Whilst I am disappointed at how short the demo for Shopping Simulator 2037 it does hint at a nicely polished and balanced game. It definitely has me intrigued for its Q3 2026 release. There is the hint of a great game here. It’s a shame the demo ends just has you feel like you are getting going.
